Rev. Dr. Michael L. Gregg, BCC

Rev. Dr. Michael "Mike" L. Gregg founded Michael Gregg Coaching in 2011 to help clients move forward when they need clarity and direction in life decisions.  He is a Board Certified Coach with a specialization in Personal and Life Coaching through the Center for Credentialing and Education.  Mike is a contract coach for the Center for Healthy Churches and The Center for Congregational Health. He is also a certified Disciple Development Coach through Pinnacle Leadership. Mike has a passion for the local church and enjoys coaching and mentoring seminary students and new ministers as they seek to organize their time and lives around new ministry positions.

Mike grew up in Nashville, TN and graduated from Belmont University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Religion.  After completing an M.Div from the School of Divinity at Wake Forest University, Mike became the Minister to Children at South Main Baptist Church in Houston, TX.  After three wonderfully connected years at South Main, he moved to Atlanta, GA to be the Associate Pastor and Minister of Education at Northside Drive Baptist Church.

Mike graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from McAfee School of Theology in 2014.  He is a postmodern scholar and devours books on emerging generations, especially Millennials.  The cultural and generational shifts affecting congregations were important for the completion of his doctorate.  The title of Mike’s doctoral thesis is “Becoming Strangers: Discovering the Presence of God by Receiving Hospitality in Communities Outside the Church.”  Each of his academic institutions has sparked his theological and ecclesiological interest in the future and flourishing of the institutional church.

Mike married Amanda Miller in a beautiful garden ceremony in Murfreesboro, TN in 2003.  Annaleigh and Beatrice, their two girls, are both extremely precocious, sweet, and intuitive.  Mike is pretty sure they hung the moon.  Mike is a baseball fanatic and listens to every Braves games on the radio.  In fact, he subscribes to an MLB app that allows him the pleasure of watching multiple games at the same time. Theology is Mike’s passion, but baseball is his obsession.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is an on-going professional relationship between a coach and a client designed to help you produce the results that you want in your personal and professional life.  Coaching is distinct in its work from therapy, consulting, mentoring, and spiritual direction.  Coaches ask powerful questions to uncover and develop the creative possibilities and answer already inside you.  Coaching can help you get unstuck from debilitating issues and find new steps to help you move forward into your organizational, personal, and vocational goals.
